THERE is no easy way to try to lose weight, let alone try to lose weight in front of Australia but for one family this may be their only hope of changing their life for good. The Moon family are sharing their story on The Biggest Loser on Channel Ten.

Sisters Jodie , 42, of Oatley and Kellie , 33, of Engadine, are joined by their two cousins from the Central Coast, Sarah, 29, and Rebecca, 34, to make up the team against three other families on the show.

Keeping them in line is Commando Steve, a Kogarah trainer, who takes a tough and unsympathetic approach to achieve results.

St George teacher Jodie said she needed this more than her teammates because she was the eldest.

Six weeks into the competition and she has already lost 15.8 kilograms.

Her sister Kellie, of Engadine, said her aim was to lead a more active lifestyle to keep up with her family and return to the surf club where she grew up.

She has already lost 16.2 kilograms.

This is not the first time Jodie and Kellie have been associated with the show.

They took part as a second chance team in the online competition in series four in 2009.
