Fans thrill to Goodrem

NOT even a sore throat could stop singer Delta Goodrem from performing and greeting her fans at Westfield Miranda on Wednesday afternoon.The judge on Channel Nine’s reality show The Voice came on stage at about 2.15pm to sing her latest single Sitting on Top of the World and her breakout hit Born to Try.Even with a croaky voice the pop star was right on tune, calling on the crowd to sing along in the chorus.

Fans lined up from as early as 8am to make sure they ere first to see her.

Aspiring singer Stephanie Bruno, 28, of Narwee, was waiting from 8.15am.

“She’s an inspiration and we’re the same age so she inspires me for my own career,” Ms Bruno said.

Emily, 19, of Engadine, said she hoped she didn’t pass out when it was time to meet her.

“Her voice is so killer and she has an incredible vocal range,” Emily said. “I’m just hoping I’ll be able to say something.”
