THEY are young, talented and now $100,000 richer after winning Channel Ten’s Young Talent Time talent quest on Friday night. The Lil Banditz Krew, a 17-member all-boy group made up of dancers aged 8 to 15, wiped out their competition to take home the major prize in the grand final.

“Everything was in slow motion as we waited and then it was like, ‘I can’t believe this is happening to us’ — it was awesome,” Cameron Wilcox of Menai, a crew member, said.

Fellow members Julian Bonser of Gymea, said he was “gobsmacked” when he heard they had won.

“I could not believe this was happening to us. I was proud to be a part of this group of amazing boys,” Julian said.

Project Dance, an organisation formed by several dance schools including All Starz Performing Arts Studio at Peakhurst, Planet Dance at Menai and Ettingshausens Dynamic Arts at Kirrawee, formed the crew last year.

The prizemoney will be used to provide dance tuition scholarships for the boys individually and also to further promote and develop the group.

The Lil Banditz Krew will join the Young Talent Time team on its first live tour of Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra during the July school holidays.
