Boxer’s home gets record price

KOSTYA Tszyu’s family home at Carss Park sold for $3.5 million on Saturday — a record sale for the area. The former world champion boxer’s six-bedroom and eight-bathroom house, which extends over a 2400 square metre block across two separate titles, was sold to an international buyer for its reserve price. The house had passed in on a bid of $3.2 million at its scheduled auction on Saturday, June 30. Fairfax-owned Australian Property Monitors listed it as the highest Carss Park sale in the last year. Listing agent Mark Kourouche from First National Real Estate Greenacre said that the family was happy with the outcome of the sale. Mr Tszyu’s wife Natasha had previously told the Leader that the house was too big and they were looking to downsize in Sydney with their three children.
